This season, as always, the big fashion houses have shuffled the creative pack and hired new tried-and-tested designers: Chloé now boast ex-Pringle of Scotland design director Clare Waight Keller, while Louis Vuitton has asked Kim Jones, ex-Dunhill, to become the new men’s style director at Louis Vuitton. Kenzo, meanwhile, has decided on a different tack, hiring Opening Ceremony’s Humberto Leon and Carol Lim – originally retailers, but now with a very successful label of their own. Their colourful debut collection, which included this striking cap and jacket, received rave reviews and should help reposition Kenzo as a more accessible contemporary label.
