Mood board: Tory Burch looked back ton her home town of Philadelphia, taking inspiration from Katharine Hepburn’s character, Tracy Lord, in The Philadelphia Story. Burch cited Hepburn’s ‘outdoor glamour combined with a confident femininity’ as inspiration in the show notes.

Best in show: A series of black and white looks that featured carpet bags, jackets and elegant dresses adorned with patterns of pearl buttons.

Finishing touches: Jewelled buttons dotted the beltline of wide-legged trousers and embellished floral brocade coats. Swinging pendant necklaces were inspired by cigarette lighters owned by Burch’s father, and styled with bejewelled earrings and bow detail hair accessories.
