Mood board: Rodriguez thought about the current political climate of the United States, paring down the clothes to fit in with New York’s thoughtful mood. The clothes were minimal and wearable in earthy tones, with flourishes of silk and leather.

Finishing touches: Simple cutouts added a touch of sexiness to dresses, and a deep leather ladder cut into the chest of a black vest top gave the sporty silhouette piece more sensuality. Black bras provided geometric shadows beneath sheer tops.

Best in show: Rodriguez offered a fresh take on the slip dress, layering a black slip beneath a long-sleeved, sheer sequinned dress. A black top with long elongated sleeves proved to be graceful and elegant, especially when styled with a simple white skirt.
