Mood board: La Perla creative director Julia Haart set out on an exploration of nature through the lens of artists like Lawrence Alma-Tadema and Georgia O’Keeffe. Haart fused that with the very heart of La Perla’s design DNA: the female form.

Scene setting: Haart envisioned a La Perla Manor, a lush, two-level set composed of six tableaux, complete with a gallery room, library, and a decadent dining table spread. Depending on the level, models who included Naomi Campbell, Joan Smalls and Kendall Jenner, walked from their designated room onto the runway below, some from a grand, ivy-covered winding staircase.

Finishing touches: La Perla developed its Leavers lace, an innovative material that adds flexible stretch to traditional French lace, allowing it to contour to the curves of the female body. Flower jewel clips on bra straps and accessories were made of luxurious 18-carat cashmere gold.
