Emporio Armani A/W 2016
Mood board: Giorgio Armani’s dark palette provided a backdrop for his geometric neon forms. Some of them were more successful than others, but when they were simple they worked like a dream, such as on a sleek black coat with a flouncy wool skirt printed with a jumble of graphic circles, triangles and squares.
Best in show: The best looks in this show had minimal accoutrements such as Armani's beautifully cut carrot-shaped black trousers worn with elegant, oversized powder coats.
Finishing touches: As always, there were more accessories than clothes on the catwalk. This season's top shoe was a terrific looking, solid coloured, pointed toe pump with round block heel and petal-like ornament.
