Mood board: With Stuart Vevers' transformation of the Coach girl from conservative Upper East sider to cool urban rebel now in full swing, the iconic brand's A/W 2015 collection was an idiosyncratic blend of nostalgic American mainstays, like shearling, bandana prints, biker shapes and stars and stripes.

Best in show: Vevers' imaginative spin on the plaid check saw the motif deconstructed into squares and stripes that yielded a patchwork-like effect. The same playful attitude was also seen in bandana prints that appeared enlarged as panels of sleeves and dresses.

Finishing touches: Accessories were front and centre of Coach's collection, as always. From strappy mid-calf biker boots to cross-body handbags, emblazoned with shout-outs like 'Wanted', 'Lucky' and 'Nomad', the accessory offerings tap into both Coach's heritage as a leather goods brand and its future as a fashion forward must-have.
