The idea of stylish sportswear isn't entirely new, but it’s no surprise that former Issey Miyake creative director, Naoki Takizawa, has cranked things up a notch. Launched in September, 'Naoki' is a couture-inspired sportswear range that's bound to get even the most sluggish heart rates pumping.

Developed with apparel giant Sanyo Shokai, the collection, which is built with water-resistant, windproof and quick-dry capabilities, is comprised of two ranges: Active Line geared towards running and cycling, and Slow Line for yoga and other indoor sports.

Takizawa was inspired by nature to create the each line; pieces in the Slow range recall the graceful form of a standing flamingo, while the Active range is inspired by the dynamism of an owl in flight.
