Thursday saw a select throng of fashion, art and design world luminaries descend on East London’s Wilkinson Gallery, all in the name of the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2010, in association with global smartphone designer HTC.

Spread across two expansive floors and featuring a meticulous display of the award-winning items – including projections of the winners onto the gallery walls from HTC phones - the Veuve Clicquot and Mamont Premium Siberian Vodka ran freely as guests filtered in, and continued flowing into the night.
With beer provided by Peroni, water from Evian and immaculately made Martinis from The Connaught Bar - every palate was catered to - whilst NY-themed canapés of salted beef croquettes and mini cheeseburgers paid apt homage to our city of the year.
It wasn’t just the glittering army of guests who came dressed for the occasion. Raf Simons (winner of best men’s fashion collection) kitted out waiting staff with Raf Simons for Fred Perry polo shirts, whilst Alberto Aspesi dressed front of house - who valiantly braved London’s Baltic conditions - in downy Aspesi Piumini. English shoemaker, Church’s, also came up trumps - providing Amberley boots for the entire front of house team.
As the champagne flowed, the conversation bubbled and the dancing began, it once again became clear: when it comes to a party, Wallpaper's
got it wrapped.
