Trained as a landscape designer, Lenny Niemeyer began her career in fashion after making a bathing suit for herself in 1993, and over the past two decades has stitched together a reputation as Brazil's top swimwear designer. Her namesake line is made up of tasteful, high fashion suits and bikinis that use light, versatile jersey weight fabrics that can be tailored to achieve the perfect fit. The suits are sometimes embellished with interesting elements like wooden beads, sequins and precious stones, but Lenny is known for her prints, often created in collaboration with well-known artists from around the world. The first Lenny store opened in 1997, and there are now 18 across Brazil, including this one in the famously barefoot-chic beach town of Trancoso, Bahia, one of the designer's favourite destinations.
