Following the much applauded launch of Flos and Moroso's first collaborative retail space in Amsterdam in 2008, the two Italian manufacturers have unveiled their first combined London showroom in Clerkenwell. Uniting Moroso's distinctive furniture designs with Flos' avant–garde lighting, the 600 sq m space is a white–on–white Wonderland providing plenty of room to explore the latest creations from both companies. Conceived by Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola as a thoroughly neutral environment within which pieces can speak for themselves, the showroom features a plantation of angular, white aluminium pipes that sprout up from timber flooring and metal grids and serve to partition off the space. Acting as a kind of ideal home, the ground–floor showroom and three basement galleries seamlessly showcase Moroso's room concepts alongside Flos' 'Cubo' wireless light control system.
