Talking and sound is imperative for spurring his creative impulses, says Roland Krauer. ‘When I speak my thoughts acoustically, I hear them like they are from someone else, which inspires me. And whenever I am down with my ideas, my girlfriend Melanie always saves me,’ he says. He found his first career as a cabinet-maker stiflingly closed to new ideas, but in the evenings he made music and movies with friends which eventually led him to take up graphics, where he learned ‘whole new fields of thinking and form.’ We love his eclectic, multi-media style – and it seems appropriate that he should currently be working on a friend’s CD cover design.
Would most like to work with: There are so many geniuses. I like humble people.
