We caught Daniel To and Emma Aiston the day before they relocated back to Australia, having spent two years in London. Between them, they have worked for Marc Newson, Thorsten Van Elten and Philips Design Hong Kong, yet they insist that neither started out with any designs on design: ‘We both fell in to it, as we had other ideas which didn’t work out - industrial design was the next best thing. In retrospect, it worked out very well.’ Inspired by ‘everything and nothing in particular’, the duo’s preoccupation with shape manifests itself succinctly in this radio-come-dining table-come-fan.
Would most like to work with: It sounds corny but each other.
