The 24-floor building by local architect Kazukiyo Sato was inspired by a traditional Japanese lantern and is located at the entrance of the Marunouchi and Ginza districts. Rooms and suites have cool, contemporary design inspired by washitsus (Japanese-style rooms). The executive suites have great views over the Ginza area and the Peninsula suites feature a gym and a grand dining room with a balcony. The ESPA spa is the first in its kind in Japan and offers spectacular views from the eight treatment rooms. Tsuruya serves Japanese delicacies in a contemporary atmosphere but the highlight is the city view from the rooftop restaurant and bar.
