Built in 1926 as a residential hotel, the ZaZa, or the Warwick as it was originally known, has seen many renovations. The latest, completed in 2007, has showered the updated rooms with an Asian influence, subdued tones and red lacquered furniture. Suites are enormous (3,000 sq ft) and some come with decadent touches such as outdoor bathtubs. This is the only hotel located in Houston’s museum district and the only luxury hotel servicing the Texas Medical Center. Situated on the light rail line, it also has easy access to the Brown Convention Center and the Reliant Center Sport and Meeting Complex.
