There was, says Chloe Coulson, no 'Eureka!' moment for her when it came to deciding to study design. ‘I have always been interested in creative fields, in as many broad forms as they come. Design seemed a good way to manifest my interests and the course I took allowed me to explore different aspects and develop my approach.’

Since she left Ravensbourne, she has continued her exploratory mission as a freelance designer, working for ‘lovely’ people, like twocreate, though it was just a few months ago that she collaboratively organized and curated her graduation exhibition, 'Rare Breeds' at Tent London.

Built around a country show theme, certificates were used a template for invitations, while work was displayed on bales of hay. What was the rationale behind the theme? ‘We felt that as a group we were all talented but also all individual in our approaches. The idea was that participants were proud to show off their produce.’ In the case of Coulson, she had every reason to be.

Would most like to work with:
'IDEO – who wouldn’t! In terms of 3D projects, I have a strong interest in ideas-based design and always try to tell a story through my work informed by the research I undertake.'
