The fiftieth store of illustrious French jewellers Chaumet is certainly a jewel in their crown. Opening this year at 174 New Bond Street, London, the azure-fronted concept store succeeds ahead of so many others by marrying traditional and contemporary values, thus neatly achieving the balance of exhibition space and shop, luxury and informality.
The creation of Jean Michel-Wilmotte, the 100 metre-squared space uses backlit blue glass whilst the piece de resistance is the 'Cabinet de Curiosite', a checkerboard display comprising nickel silver models of tiaras.
