Coming in at 450 sq. metres and spread over two floors, the six-month old Strange Fruit boutique is an impressive addition to Berlin’s Gendarmenmarkt. Designed by architect duo Gonzalez/Haase, the minimalist space is adorned with futuristic chrome accents and sculptural, angular display areas that complement its super-hip collection.
Stocking the likes of Jonathan Saunders, Kitsune, Henrik Vibskov and Anne Valerie Hash, the concept store is an aptly dramatic backdrop for the best emerging talents in the fashion world. Sometimes bigger is just better.
