Situated on via Santo Spirito, the Balenciaga store is just off the beaten track but still within Milan’s famed golden triangle. Indeed, the windows are shaded by golden aluminium louvres.
The interior, by Balenciaga’s Nicolas Ghesquiere with artist Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster and lighting designer Benoit Lalloz, features robotic lighting rigs, articulating from a central beam, that avoid contact with the listed frescoed ceiling.
