Tham & Videgard Hansson (TVH) Arkitekter was set up in 1999 by 37-year-old Bolle Tham and Martin Videgard Hansson, 39. The two Stockholm-based architects' collaboration was characterised from the very beginning by their shared desire to develop a contemporary and experimental alternative to their home country's architecture. Their work covers a wide range of types and scales, from exhibition and interior design, private houses and museums, to urban planning.

Inspiration
TVH finds inspiration not only in architecture, both old and new, but also in all expressions of visual culture. The team embraces the opportunities and challenges of modern globalisation, experiencing it daily through physical and virtual travelling, in order to produce architecture that will reflect both the international and the local. They add, 'The best architecture is clear enough to offer multiple readings depending on whom, when and where you are.'
Innovation
Leaving the initiative to the clients and adopting a humanistic approach to architecture, TVH is always in search of new solutions, aiming to incorporate all aspects and design factors into a single concept. Sustainability issues, technological innovation and environmental awareness are a big priority.
