Jeremy Jansen was first awoken to the possibilities of graphics when he was 16. ‘It was when I first saw the CD cover design for Radiohead. It was the whole precision of the package and the freedom they obviously had in not letting it be controlled by the music management.’ These days he gets his inspiration from books and internet archives, and indeed, the medium of graphics in itself. ‘It allows me to think outside the expectations of different mediums. As a tool, graphic design is quite specific, but in its representation, it can go lots of ways. So I like the language and the broad appeal.’ His style is self-professedly minimalistic, colourful, white, open and ‘by default.’ It’s evidently going down well; in addition to working on his own projects, he has also turned his hand to the new Korean graphic with Na Kim. ‘It’s about the blog Manystuff, and it shows the archive of postings and some interviews with some designers.’

That changes every time I start a project. Does it have to be a person? Lately by the Internet.
