Petros Efstathiadis’s atmospheric and other-worldly work celebrates the surreal; the jarring, awkward quality which pervades the suburban backdrops of his compositions is, he says, an homage to childhood days. ‘My work was very much inspired by memories, family and strange every day life events.’ There is something cinematic about his work – which makes perfect sense when you discover that he is in the process of editing a short film he made over the summer. But if you can’t wait for that, check out his work at European online photographic community, www.pocproject.com
