11.2 'Ciclotte' exercise bike, by Luca Schieppati, for Lamiflex Group

Design-conscious exercisers have had little choice when it comes to working out in an environment that satisfies in the style stakes. Now, with the launch of Ciclotte, we don't have to rely on gyms getting their interior décor right. The innovative new exercise bike for the Lamiflex Group in Bergamo will hold its own in your home. The work of Milanese designer Luca Schieppati, it takes the form of a large single wheel. While reminiscent of early motorcycles, it comes complete with 21st century technology in the form of a touch-screen display and carbon handlebar. Weighing in at 45kg, it can be moved without us working up too much of a sweat - so we can save that for when we get on it.
