True to sparkling form, this year's Swarovski Crystal Palace looks set to impress. Taking residence in Milan's Salone del Mobile, the showcase will feature a series of commissioned works from Tokujin Yoshioka, Gwenaël Nicolas, Yves Béhar, Rogier van der Heide and Vincent van Duysen.
In a bid to give the show a little extra contextual grounding, Swarovski is to host a 'Designer Conversation' between Nicolas, Béhar and van der Heide alongside Dutch artists Studio Job, and Nadja Swarovski.
Topics up for discussion include 'Participatory culture', questioning the way technological developments have changed our ability to create and deliver ideas; 'Dreamtelligence', exploring the way in which dreams and fantasy inform the ideas process; and finally, 'Environmental Acknowledgment', focusing on the impact that sustainable, low cost design has made upon the luxury market.
