Suzanne Trocmé's words have graced the pages of Wallpaper* magazine since its inception 11 years ago, first as a contributor from Paris and America and then at HQ as Architecture and Design Editor for five years before becoming Special Projects Editor. Now as Editor-at-Large, due to a burgeoning family and a flourishing career as a furniture designer herself, she is delighted to report from the London Design Festival.
She’s particularly looking forward to 100% Design which, she believes, has had a symbiotic relationship with the magazine. Both started when London was a fledgling City on the international design map, and the fair was first held in a small tent in Chelsea.
Having been a part of the growth process herself, and having presented many discussions and talks at the show, this year she’s chairing a seminar with darlings of the industry Fredrikson Stallard and Arik Levy at Earls Court. Other highlights will include the Vitra Editions event at Phillips de Pury, Tent and judging the Bombay Sapphire Designer Glass Prize.
