Italian paper maestro Fedrigoni has turned the humble swatch book into a work of art - thanks to the help of London-based design agency SEA. Based on French chemist Chevreul’s theory of simultaneous colour contrast, its pages are shot through with a 'bullseye' of concentric circles, cannily showcasing the vivid hues in the Sirio range.
With weights ranging from 80-700 g/m, the paper stocks can be used for everything from eye-popping shopping bags to corporate stationary and business cards. In this digital age, Fedrigoni is clever to emphasise the tactility and colour appeal of the physical page.
