Paola Navone at Few & Far, London
This month Italian artist, architect and designer, Paola Navone is the curator of our Wallspace virtual gallery.
As luck would have it, Navone has this week opened another, more permanent, exhibition of work at West London curio and clothes shop, Few and Far.
'Pisces', Navone's first exhibition in the capital, features the 'Gingerbread' collection, designed for Lando and unveiled earlier this year at Maison et Objet.
A range of rough-hewn wooden chairs, tables and benches, alongside translucent ceramic chandeliers and watering cans - Navone took inspiration from the fairytale turrets, balustrades and carvings of Caribbean architecture for the collection.
In addition to 'Gingerbread', Navone is also showing her series of 'Taste' plates, produced for Reichenbach and inspired by the designer’s love of the sea - and all things blue.
Primarily a boutique, featuring a lovingly edited selection of garments - sourced by Priscilla Carluccio in India, Morocco and Italy - Few and Far has this week unveiled a brand new space dedicated to permanent exhibitions. Navone’s selling show will be the first in the store and will remain in-situ until mid-June.
