The latest pop-up venture to appear on the London design scene is a new boutique dedicated to midcentury Scandinavian furniture and accessories. Lulu Bright's fleeting, ten-day opening on Clerkenwell Road marks the launch of the furniture company's permanent online store, Lulubright.co.uk.
The brainchild of Eva Coppens, Lulu Bright sells an interesting edit of designs by the likes of Arne Jacobsen, Hans Wegner and Borge Mogensen. These are augmented by a selection of Arabia jars and Iittala glasses by Timo Sarpaneva, in their original packaging and acquired from the collection of Italian curator and Finnish design champion, Lillo Mangano.
For those with shallower pockets, there's also 'The Bright Finds' - a more affordable and regularly updated range of vintage products from a variety of design backgrounds, united by their clean, midcentury aesthetic.
