Italian architect and designer Michele De Lucchi has some serious design credentials, having created lamps and furniture for some of the best-known Italian and European manufacturers, including Olivetti for whom he was design director 1992-2002.

However, in 1990 De Lucchi founded his very own company, Pruduzione Privata, dedicated to the ‘designing of products to live within our contemporary society using man’s basic tools and talents: the hands and the mind.’

The ‘Giona’ parchment lamp, designed in collaboration with Alberto Nason, is from the company’s latest collection. Hung with a metal frame, the vintage-looking light is not only a showstopper but the light is diffused to emit the absolute ideal glow when hung over a dinner table.
