Brought to us by Paul Johnson, director of New York's Johnson Trading Gallery, and Paolo Maistri, a former curator at Design Miami, 'Commissioned' showcases a series of works by six bright young designers, including Simon Hassan, Ben Jones, Max Lamb, Kwangho Lee, Robert Loughlin and Peter Marigold.

Taking residence in Milan's new Marsèlleria space, the show's highlights include Simon Hassan's contorted, untreated leather stools, Max Lamb's rough-hewn stone seating consoles and Peter Marigold's stripped, pale wood furnishings, taken from his 'non-primitive series. The designers share an interest in process and unusual materials.
