Many moons ago in Wallpaper* 097 we picked out Peter Marigold’s ‘Make/Shift’ shelving as one of our favourite new design items. Marigold, then a fledgling design graduate with an already hefty portfolio of admirers (including Ron Arad, his former tutor at the RCA, who installed a set of the ‘Make/Shift’ shelves in his own home) has grown up fast.

And of course, we’ve been tracking his progress. From getting the low down on his experience at this year’s Salone del Mobile to going behind the scenes at OKAY Studio where he’s based, in Wallpaper* 098, it’s fair to say we’re big fans of Marigold’s organic approach to geometry and common sensical obsession with storage. So much so that we took some time out with him to see his latest projects and find out what makes him tick.
