Robert Wilson
OmbroCinema technology
'What we've tried to do with the magazine is to make it more dimensional,' said Robert Wilson, of his stint as Wallpaper* Guest Editor. He certainly did that. The experimental theatre director animated the cover and multiple pages with his startling video portraits of the likes of Brad Pitt and Willem Dafoe, using a technique called OmbroCinema and an acetate film. By sliding it over cover star, Isabella Rossellini, you could watch the actress pucker up.
