Wallpaper's roof-top cafe is the perfect vantage point to witness Renzo Piano's Shard race towards its ultimate 87 storeys. And seeing as we secured exclusive access to the site for our Architects Directory shoot for this month's issue, we devoted this month's limited-edition cover to its already iconic profile, enlisting printmaker Paul Catherall to create the perfect graphic portrait. The Shard won't be open for business for another year, but with its central 72-storey core completed, this glass tower is already dominating the london skyline.
