Henrik Fisker knows a thing or two about designing refined cars. With Aston Martin's acclaimed DB9 under his belt, the Dane struck out for California and founded Fisker Coachbuild. When we last checked in for wallpaper 93, the company had just unveiled its first designs, the Tramonto convertible and the Latigo coupe.
Fisker's sleek bodywork sits atop tried and tested mechanicals, allowing the company to make bespoke vehicles with outstanding performance and an enviable rarity factor. The very first production Fisker Latigo CS V10 was unveiled at last week's 2007 Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance, the first of just 150 cars to be made.
The elegant sporting grand tourer ups the power quota significantly - it's based on BMW's much-lauded M6 supercar - with a V10 putting out well over 500 horsepower. Despite this performance potential, the emphasis is placed on grace and style, with hand-built bodywork and a highly crafted interior enveloping the discerning owner in a truly exclusive environment.
As even the most upscale car makers up their production quotas into the thousands, you can be sure that Fiskers will remain automotive rarities.
