Travel-sized fragrance
It’s easy to dismiss pocket-sized perfume bottles as a design afterthought. The Different Company, however, makes travel sizes more covetable than its big bottles. Constructed with all the fine tuning that goes into watch making, the 6cm-tall casing for its miniatures, designed by company founder Thierry de Baschmakoff, unscrews to allow the bottle inside to be replaced. The perfumes are also delightfully different; nose Jean-Claude Ellena and his daughter Céline have carte blanche, in the old-fashioned way, to create the line.
