Amidst the plethora of beautiques opening at the moment, the second flagship store of Greek brand Korres has particularly caught our eye. Recently launched in Glasgow, the store combines the clean, organic feel that we love about the brand, with a subtle industrial quality that fits neatly with the location.
104 square metres of Korres Natural Products might seem a little daunting, but supersize graphic images of the natural ingredients that the brand uses, like olives and rye, help to stretch out the large product-heavy shelves and stop them appearing too oppressive. Clever lighting - hidden fluorescent tubes under tinted glass shelves - add a pleasing apothecary feel.
George and Lena Korres set up the Korres Natural Products brand in 1996, combining their joint pharmaceutical and biochemical engineering skills into one succinct brainchild and, never one to miss a trick, we recently cited the couple as one of the world’s 40 most influential people under 40.
