Founded by the same company that brought us our beloved Swiss beauty brand Alchimie, The Forever Laser Institut is something of a family affair. Run by Luigi Polla, a world-renowned dermatologist, and his wife Barbara Polla, a respected medical researcher specialising in antioxidants, their eclectic approach to the beauty business has resulted in a unique creation.
The Forever Laser Institute was founded in 1997, and a second branch opened in 2003. This year, the initial institute was closed and a new one that links to the second was opened, creating a super-clinic of impressive standards.
Choosing an aesthetic that combines the precision of science and the ‘ephemeral face of nature’, Greek-born architect Andreas Angelidakis has toyed with perspective, using multiple mirrored surfaces and laser-shaped tress that appear to grow out of pearl banquettes, punctuated by the work of Jeanine Woollard and Andreas Mastrovito.
With the institute having undergone a face-lift, the treatments have also been updated, albeit in a non-surgical vein. Using the strapline ‘all you need to resculpt without ever using a scalpel’, the Forever Laser Institut offers the newest laser and infrared flash lamp technologies – ideal for rejuvenating without a nip or tuck.
