Clichéd though it may be, there is no better way to shake off shopping fatigue than a spa-based spruce up. The Avenue des Champs-Elysées in Paris, an undisputable hot-spot of indulgence is the location of the latest unmissable pampering pit-stop. Architect and sculptor Joseph Caspari has joined forces with London-based hotelier Bakr Cola, to transform two floors of a 19th century building, a stone’s throw from the tree-lined avenue, into a day spa, run by the classic French beauty business Payot. The interiors of Espace Payot are designed with minimalist fuss-free elegance, clad in Italian stone in calming shades of grey and beige. The floor was lowered to create a comfortably airy space for the facilities, which are arranged around a main bar and pool area. Services include a variety of beauty and grooming treatments for men and women, fitness, sauna, and their specialty – over ten different kinds of massages.
