If, like us, you are a fan of avant-garde architecture head to the latest exhibition at the Architectural Association in London.

Clip/Stamp/Fold: The Radical Architecture of Little Magazines 196x-197x, charts the influence that an internationally diverse group of 'little' magazines had on post-war architecture culture.

First coined in the early 20th Century, ‘little’ refers to the progressive literature produced to allow an exchange between students, avant-garde architects and theorists. Through the sharing of progressive ideas, such as how politics and technology shaped architectural practices of the time, the 'little' movement significantly impacted two decades of building design.

Lead by Beatriz Colomina, the exhibition is dedicated to this forward-thinking literature and has taken over two years to collate. Through a series of seminars and interviews with many of the leading editors, architects and critics of the period, a collection of over 70 publications has been collated from cities around the world.

Clip/Stamp/Fold charts the transformation of these magazines through the development of their cover designs. The exhibition also features pamphlets, manuals and magazines that were all shaped by the graphic and intellectual concerns of 'little' magazines. In fact, the Architectural Association is a highly relevant host for the event - itself being an incubator for fellow feisty titles at the time - including 'White Rabbit' and 'Arse' magazines.
