Die Gestalten Verlag have their finger on the visual pulse . While their monographs occasionally descend into scattergun collations of portfolio cast-offs and ultra-dense graphics without any real purpose, Tactile is a timely review of a very contemporary graphic movement. Three-dimensional graphics have made a comeback, a reaction against the screen’s lack of depth and the general sense that when it comes to visual design, anything goes. The editors have cast their net wide, covering everything from temporary installations, exquisite modern origami and personal work that blurs the boundaries between design and fine art.
