With a special focus on residential design and numerous private houses in his portfolio, Virginia-based architect David Jameson and his team have been keeping busy. In addition to a number of recently completed commissions, the practice has also been working on its first monograph, featuring new works that include houses in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia and Florida.
All demonstrate a distinct individual character, from the illuminated lantern shape of the Row House on Capitol Hill, to the metal-clad cabins of the House on Hoopers Island, and the cubic minimal synthesis of the BlackWhite House in Bethesda, Maryland. The projects also show a strong connection between inside and outside space, along with Jameson's signature clean lines and clearly defined volumes.
