Ricardo and Nuno Matos set up their practice in 2010. Their work brings together old and new forms, austere simplicity and elaborate concrete sculpture. The plan for Casa Torrão do Lameiro in Ovar is generated by existing trees on the site, setting up a chaotic but exhilarating composition of concrete angles and forms. Other upcoming work includes a museum in Avanca, and affordable housing in east London.
